AEW Women’s Roster Notes From AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite is live on TBS from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on 4/1/26.

Early on in the show, TBS Champion Willow Nightingale was backstage for a promo. She said she is going to defend the title in an Open Challenge on AEW Collision (which is set to be taped after AEW Dynamite ends) but didn’t know who it will be against. She said she wants it to be one of the best in the world. A lot of people are speculating the challenger could be the return of Mercedes Mone and it seemed to be the big tease whether it actually will be her or not. The person will be Hikaru Shida who is currently backstage.

Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) defeated Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue) when Hayter pinned Hart after the Hayteraide in 9:18. 

Mercedes Mone did not appear despite being in Winnipeg this week and she is not expected on the AEW Collision Tapings either.

AEW Collision will air tomorrow night on TNT at 8pm ET due to NCAA Basketball Games coverage this weekend. AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Megan Bayne and Lena Kross will be on the show in a squash match against two indie stars whose names were not given to us as of this report.
