AEW Women’s Titles Notes Coming Out Of AEW Collision

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Megan Bayne and Lena Kross went to a 5-Minute Time Limit Draw with Anna Jay and Tay Melo in an Eliminator Time Challenge. The Draw still gives Jay and Melo a future titles shot. Jay had Bayne in the chokehold just as time was about to expire. Kross tired to break it up but Melo stopped her. The bell rang without Bayne submitting.

Hazuki pinned Maya World (with Hyan) after the diving senton in 10:20. CMLL Women’s World Champion Persephone did guest color commentary for the match and she came off very well. She will face Hazuki in the Owen Hart Cup Women’s Tournament next Saturday here on Collision. Persephone had the CMLL Women’s Title belt while Hazuki came out with the SPARK World Title belt. This was Hazuki’s AEW debut.

Renee Paquette interviewed AEW World Champion Thekla along with Julia Hart and Skye Blue backstage. Thekla was in a great mood and kept bragging about retaining the title at AEW Double Or Nothing this week. Paquette kept trying to ask her about the Owen Hart Women’s Cup Tournament. The winner will get a title shot at her. Thekla said she wasn’t worried about anyone in it expect for Blue. She got in Blue’s face. They argued as Julia Hart tried to get between them but it was all an act. Thekla hugged Blue and laughed and then put her arm around Julia Hart too. She said they’re not like everyone else in AEW because nothing will come between them as the Triangle Of Madness and nothing will come between her and the AEW Women’s World Title.

They announced late in the show that AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Megan Bayne and Lena Kross will defend against Anna Jay and Tay Melo next Saturday.

They announced the status of the vacant AEW TBS Title now that Willow Nightingale is out with an injury. There will be a series of six matches over the next month and the winner of those will compete for the title in a Survival Of The Fittest Match on AEW Dynamite on July 1, 2026.
