Major Title Change As Expected On AEW Dynamite

Darby Allin pinned AEW World Champion MJF to win the title after four Coffin Drops (one off of each of the top turnbuckles) followed up with a side headlock take over in just 2:14 on AEW Dynamite live on TBS from Everett, Washington at Angels of the Wind Arena on 4/15/26. 

The title change had been rumored for several days, but what was unexpected is, it was a quick squash instead of a usual AEW marathon title match. 

Sting made a surprise appearance backstage as Allin was being interviewed by Renee Paquette before the main event.  He gave Allin a pep talk and told him it was now his time and said he didn’t need any other advice to win the match. After the match, Sting and several other babyfaces came out to the ring to congratulate Allin. That included a few faces we no longer see on AEW TV like The Outrunners, Dark Order, and Colt Cabana. The Young Bucks were out there too. 

TBS Champion Willow Nightingale pinned Kamille with a backslide in 8:27 in the other big title match on the show.

TNT Champion Kevin Knight retained against Claudio Castagnoli.

AEW Women’s World Champion Thelka and Alex Windsor did promos on each other in the venue to set up a title match to take place at the AEW Collison TV Tapings that were being taped after AEW Dynamite. Julia Hart and Skye Blue tried to jump Windsor in the ring but Windsor quickly fought them off and threw them out of the ring. 

AEW Collision will air tonight on TNT due to other programming on TNT coming up on Saturday night.
