AJ McKay and Carmen Michael were the broadcast team. Eric Cornish and Linda Kay shared duties as the ring announcers.
Tony Evans and his “family” were in the ring for a celebration of OVW Women’s Champion Lovely Miss Larkan’s birthday. Tommy Boy was dressed in a suit for it while Evans and Drew Hernandez were in their usual gear. Evan and Hernandez had the facial expressions like they didn’t even want to be there. Tommy Boy gave Larkan and cake and gifts. OVW Heavyweight Champion Jey DeNiro came out to interrupt. It will be DeNiro defending the title this week against his own son Tommy Boy. He wanted to know what the Superior Family Rules are actually going to be for the match and demanded for Evans explain it. Evans refused to get to the point and then he, Tommy Boy, and Hernandez tried to attack DeNiro. DeNiro was able to fight them all off as Larkan screamed. Surprisingly, the cake remained in the container and nobody’s face went into it.
Meto pinned Tyler Jordan after a spear in 4:08.
Janie Hartman was shown backstage flirting with Stephen Steel. Luke Hartman walked in and yelled at Steel for trying to “put the moves” on his sister. Janie lied and said Steel started everything with her. Luke challenged Steel to a match for later and Steel agreed. Steel said he will show Luke what a real cowboy is.
Shaloncé Royal (with PJ Jones) defeated Killah Kai by referee stoppage with the chokehold causing Kai to pass out in 4:27.
Stephen Steel pinned Luke Hartman (with Mad Dog Martin and Janie Hartman) after a lariat when Janie’s distraction attempt up on the ring backfired in 6:20. Steel blew a kiss at Janie after he pinned her brother.
TW3 defeated OVW Rush Division Champion JJ Lawson by Disqualification in a non-title match when Icon Lee ran in and tried to hit TW3 with a leather strap in 3:54. TW3 chased Lee back to the locker room after the match.
Jake Painter and Jake Lawless were shown backstage arguing with OVW Tag Team Champions Prime Jackson and Boy Toy Troy. When Painter and Lawless walked away they almost ran into Lovely Miss Larkan still holding on to her cake. She yelled at them and said “Watch the cake!”
Kal Herro pinned Austin Ryker after the knee life in 9:47. Herro got on the mic after and said they can do a rematch again. He called out Kevin Thorn and said Thorn has made things personal. He challenged Thorn to a match for the July 19 show.
Hour 2-
Brandon Davis was in the ring for The Brandon Davis Show. Ashton Adonis was his guest. Davis brought up that Adonis has been on a losing streak as of late. Adonis wants the OVW Media in hopes that he can go up the OVW Heavyweight Title and then the OVW United States Title.
Noelle The Marionette almost ran into Lovely Miss Larkan with the cake backstage. Noelle was upset that someone left her another note that said “freak” on it. Larkan said she will try to help her get to the bottom of it. Larkan then had to quickly move out of the way as TW3 and Icon Lee were chasing after each other near her and the cake.
OVW Tag Team Champions Boy Toy Troy and Prime Jackson defeated Erik Surge and Anthony Toatele by Disqualification when Jake Lawless and Jake Painter interfered in 5:04. Surge accidentally hit Troy with a chair that the two Jakes brought into the ring. The referee turned around and saw Surge with the chair and called for the bell to end the match. The two Jakes laughed about it on their way back to the locker room.
Rae Larson pinned J-Rod in another upset win with a roll up as J-Rod attempted to give her a power move in 3:25.
OVW Heavyweight Champion Jay DeNiro pinned Tommy Boy (with Tony Evans, Lovely Miss Larkan, and Drew Hernandez) in a Superior Family Rules Match in 10:51. DeNiro knocked Hernandez out of the ring before the finish. Hernandez collided into Larkan which caused Larkan to accidentally shove the cake into Evans’ face. Dustin Jackson jumped DeNiro after the match and gave him two cutters.
Evans never explained the rules at the start on the main event and made them up as it went along. DeNiro could have won in about two minutes by Count Out but Evans got on the mic and told the referee part of the rules were No Count Out. Tommy Boy used a chair as a weapon a couple of minutes later but Evans warned the referee that it was also No Disqualification. Drew Hernandez jumped into the ring and helped Tommy Boy beat up on DeNiro with a chair. Evans said it was now a 2-on-1 Match.
