OVW Rise from Louisville, Kentucky, USA at Davis Arena on Thursday, June 4, 2026 live and free on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4TgzoPQJes

AJ McKay, Josh Ashcraft, and Linda Kay were the broadcast team. Eric Cornish was the ring announcer. This is episode 1,399. The big 1400 special is next Thursday with legends and special guests set to appear. It will be a 3 hour broadcast starting at 7pm ET.

Jota Peso defeated OVW Rush Division Champion JJ Lawson by Disqualification after a low blow in a non-title match in 3:55. Brendan Balling came out afterwards and got in Lawson’s face. Lawson shoved him away and then Balling slapped him in the face. Referees ran into the ring to stop Balling from going after Lawson any further. They will be in a Ladder Match next week.

OVW General Manager Katie Gannon came out to the ring. She said she was gone on a business trip for a few weeks. She said she wants to address the situation between Kal Herro and Stephen Steel after they went to the No Contest brawl last week. Steel came out first and blamed the whole thing on Herro. He said Herro has been getting out of control and something needs to happen. It seemed like Gannon was about to agree but then Herro came out. Herro admitted it was out of control and he needed to be better than that. He said Steel has no future legacy in OVW because he’s just been lucky. Gannon said they will have a Falls Count Anywhere Match next week with Kevin Thorn as the guest referee.

Lovely Miss Larkan (with Tommy Boy) defeated Leela Hall by submission with the Straight Jacket Crossface after a distraction from Tommy Boy in a OVW Women’s Title Tournament Semifinals Match in 5:01.

Big Zo defeated Canaan Kristopher (with Glenn Spectre) by Disqualification when Spectre ran in and attacked as Zo was getting the advantage in 3:51. The lights went out and when they came back on the returing Hy-Zaya was in the ring to make the save.

OVW United States Champion Tony Evans came out with all of his Superior Familly members for a title match contract signing against Jay DeNiro for the match to happen next week. DeNiro came out and said Evans runs his mouth but only talks half truths. DeNiro admitted to making mistakes but he said he’s learned and now he’s trying to be a better person.  He said he is going to take the title from Evans next week and run through every member of the Superior Family. Tommy Boy and Drew Hernandez got into a shoving match and then DeNiro got between them to protect Tommy Boy. Evans told them all to stop it and he called Tommy Boy over back to his side of the contract table. He said he would talk about the tension with him and Hernandez in the back to settle things down before next week.

Ashton Adonis went to a Double Count Out with Coby Carter in an OVW Media Title Tournament Semifinals Match when Jake Painter and Jake Lawless interfered in 3:22. The winner was to face Drew Hernandez in the Finals next week for the vacant title since Kal Herro vs. Stephen Steel ended in the No Contest last week giving Hernandez a bye. The announcers said Katie Gannon told them from the back that Adonis vs. Carter had to be restarted.

Hour 2-

Colby Carter pinned Ashton Adonis after a double stomp to the back of the head in the restarted OVW Media Title Tournament Semifinals Match in 5:28.

Erik Surge pinned Anthony Toatele after his elbow strike finisher in 6:36.

Cameras showed Kal Herro welcoming Thamiko Fatu into the building. Herro gave him a tour of the venue. Fatu is another son of Rikishi’s.

Shalonce Royal (with PJ Jones) pinned Freya the Slaya in an OVW Women’s Title Tournament Semifinals Match after the Flatliner and interference from Jones in 4:34. It will be Royal vs. Lovely Miss Larkan in the Finals next week for the vacant title.

Dustin Jackson came out to the ring to hype up the tag team match against JBL and a mystery partner for next week. Jackson announced Kash Daniel as his partner last week but Daniel wasn’t here now. A message from JBL appeared on the big screens. JBL is a huge sports fan so he of course knew that Daniel is as the former Kentucky football player. JBL said he wants to counter him with a partner who’s rough and tough but also a movie star. He named Cash Flo as his tag team partner. Cash Flo was in the building and he came out to confront Jackson. He said Jackson picked “the wrong Cash”.

Thamiko Fatu defeated Drew Hernandez (with Tommy Boy) by Disqualification when Tommy Boy ran in and attacked Fatu in 11:20. Tommy Boy got interfered early in the match but then Kal Herro ran out to fight with him to the back. Herro ran back out after the match to make the save. Tony Evans then came out and jumped Herro. Jay DeNiro was out next to go after Evans. There was a big pull apart brawl with everyone involved here to end the show.
