Royce Keys Makes His WWE TV Debut

After several weeks of dark matches before WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown, Royce Keys had his first WWE TV match on WWE SmackDown tonight pinning Berto (with Angel) in 2:45. 

In a bit of a surprise, it was not a squash match. Angel distracted Keys down on the floor which allowed Berto to post Keys up against one of the ring posts. Berto then immediately followed up with a missile dropkick inside the ring. Berto was also able to duck out of the way of a couple of “wild swing” punches by Keys. 

Cathy Kelley interviewed Keys backstage after the commercials. She congratulated and said she has know him for a long time and noted this was his hometown area where he started his career 20-Minutes away. Keys said he’s doing this for everyone in the Bay Area and he’s taking them with him all around the world. Solo Sikoa interrupted and said “long time, no see” to Keys. He bragged that he runs SmackDown and said his door is always open if Keys ever needed anything.
