Title Changes At WWE WrestleMania 42 (Night 1) In Las Vegas

Brie Bella and Paige won a 4-Way WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Match over champions Nia Jax and Lash Legend & Alex Bliss and Charlotte Flair & Bayley and Lyra Valkyria when Paige pinned Bliss after the Rampaige to win the titles in 8:30.  Before the match started, The Bella Twins came out to the stage and Nikki Bella was on crutches. Nikki apologized and said she was not medically cleared to compete. She brought out Paige in Paige’s big return to WWE. The finish came when Bliss was about to give Paige the Twisted Bliss but the Bellas pulled Flair out of the ring and Nikki started hitting Flair with her crutches. That distracted Bliss. She flew off the ropes late with the Twisted Bliss and Paige was able to block it in time with her knees. 

Becky Lynch pinned WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee to win the title after using referee Jessika Carr as a shield and then ramming Lee’s head into an exposed turnbuckle and following up with The Man Handle Slam in 8:16. During the post-WM press conference Jackie Redmond interviewed AJ Lee about her future. Lee said this match against might be her favorite match so far. She said she didn’t get to say goodbye to the fans when she left years ago and she felt bad about it. She said this time it’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon. She ended it by saying “I hope” which seemed a little concerning. 

Liv Morgan pinned WWE Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer to win the title after a flying Codebreaker followed up by The Oblivion in 6:51. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez ran down to interfere and then celebrated the win in the ring with Morgan along with Dominik Mysterio.
