Michael Cole and Corey Graves were the broadcast team. Mark Nash was the ring announcer.
Oba Femi pinned Jey Uso with the sit-out powerbomb to win the King Of The Ring Tournament Finals in 7:56. WWE SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis presented Femi the crown after the match. Byron Saxton interviewed Femi in the ring. Femi said he has gone from being the ruler to the king. He will get to pick what champion to challenge at WWE SummerSlam.
Danhausen came out to the stage to speak to crowd. He said he was continuing his experiments. WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan abruptly came out for the Queen Of The Ring Finals Match. She got in Danhausen’s face. She said he owed The Judgement Day a lot of money and he’d better find a way to find it back or else there will be trouble for him. He told her she was cursed. She acted afraid at first but then gave him a big slap to the face.
Iyo Sky pinned Liv Morgan after a Spanish Fly followed by the Over The Moonsault to win the Queen Of The Ring Tournament Finals in 14:55. Danhausen’s curse worked against Morgan. Nick Aldis gave Sky the crown and Saxton interviewed her. She made her title challenge pick by saying she will see Morgan at WWE SummerSlam. Morgan was in the Tournament even as the WWE Women’s World Champion in hopes she could win it to go after WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley for that title at WWE SummerSlam.
Seth Rollins pinned Bron Breakker in a Steel Cage Match after a curb stomp off the second rope in 19:04. Breakker was a bloody mess over his left eye after being cut after being put through a table in the ring when Rollins gave him a superplex off the cage. The rules were pin, submission, or escape the cage.
WWE United States Trick Williams (with Lil Yachty) pinned Ricky Saints after the Trick Shot in 10:43. The referee ejected Yachty around two minutes in for something that he didn’t actually do. Saints grabbed the kendo stick/cane Yachty brought to the ring and acted like Yachty had hit him with it. The referee turned around and believed Saints and told Yachty to go back to the locker room. Yachty came back out after the match. He hit Saints with the kendo stick and followed up with a People’s Elbow.
WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton pinned Jade Cargill after the PME in 7:39. B-Fab and Michin did not come out with Cargill but they ran out from out of the crowd to interfere several minutes into the match. Chelsea Green came out from under the ring to try to make the save but Cargill was able to fight her off and drag her into the ring. Charlotte Flair then came out to ringside and she hit Cargill in the face with the title belt as the referee was distracted by Green who was still in the ring. Stratton gave the PME right after Cargill was knocked out from the title belt.
Sami Zayn won a 3-Way Title Match over WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes and Gunther by pinning Rhodes when Rhodes tried to give him a Cross Rhodes to win the title in 18:38.
There was an angle on the live post-show where Gunther and SD general manager Nick Aldis ended up getting into a shoving match. Gunther was unhappy about losing in the main event and suggested that Aldis was probably happy about the results. He called Aldis a “failed wrestler”. They went after each other and then got separated by other officials.
Aldis hasn’t wrestled since joining WWE a few years ago but there have been talk since he joined that he might come out of retirement for the right match. In addition to his onscreen role as the SD GM, he works backstage as an agent. His last matches were on the indie scene in late 2023.
